I think you're looking at this all wrong.

I don't think there is a chance of The Green Funk being in the comic
UNLESS she says 'Taste sweet funky justice, fool!'

With a new company and a more traditional comic writer, though, I'm concerned that we won't see things like real player cameos in the comic. While they were kind of shoe horned into the current series (especially in issue #10), it was nice to know that these were real characters out there that I might run into and interact with some time.

Mark Waid just does not strike me as the kind of writer who would accept an edict like "You have to put this character called The Green Funk in at least one panel, and she has to yell 'Taste sweet funky justice, fool!' "

*sigh* I can dream, though....

I like dark comics, and this one looks to be heading in the
right direction. I'm actually rather excited for the new ones
to start up.
