Psychic Blast

I like subdue in that it does more damage than Mental Blast and has a faster animation time. It is End heavy though. Something to drop later, or maybe they will fix it .

Yeah. I was asking primarily for my Empathy/Psychic Defender. He's young, so has only the first 3 (Blast, Subdue, Lance), and I figure Subdue is a bit questionable because the hold doesn't always hit. But it seems I'll let him sit as is for a bit.

I agree about the Mental Blast power Snipe. My Dark/Mentalist character Reyvn 7 has Snipe and I use it to pull when I solo with him.

It is slow. The good thing is there is a very wide varity of secondary effects. The Snipe attack has the second longest base range of any Snipe but Moonbeam (I only read this. I have never tried Dark.) Ms Mystic can Snipe from the part of the war wall where the force field starts in Pereze to give you a idea of the range. I am also convinced that it does less aggro than other snipes. I have been able to single pull a lot.
Psychic Blast's best secondary effect is slow recharge rate of target. It is noticeable.
Also, not many mobs are resistant to Psychic powers.

Mental Blast.
Stinks. Slow animation. Not much damage. Maybe slot it early, then respec out of the slots. I have one in it now, and never use it.
It does slow the attack rate of the target. Not sure by how much.

Subdue.
Imobilize effect. Not 100 percent. Okay damage at lower levels. Faster animation than Mental Blast. High end charge. Mystic no longe r has this. I miss it a little sometimes.

Psionic Lance.
Bread and Butter attack. Great Range, Great Damage, Slow recharge secondary effect. Only attack power Mystic has 6 slotted for damage. But that is due to Kinetics. Get this soon, use it often.

Psychic Scream.
Okay damage, Okay cone, Fast animation. Secondary Slow. Drew a lot of aggro. Gone from Mystic's build, but maybe needed at lower levels.

Telekinetic Blast.
Great Damage, Fast animation and the only attack that does something other than Psychic. Secondary of Knockback. Good for Robots. Must have.

Will Domination.
Great Damage, Fast animation, Secondary Sleep. Good power. I use it to sleep someone close for kinetics drain and such. Must have.

Psionic Tornado.
AoE, okay damage over time. Heavy End usage. Does Knockdown, and Slow recharge. Jury is still out on this, but I have it in Mystic's respec. I like it on test. I can Fulcrum Shift, Tornado, Wail and take out a group.

Scramble Thoughts..
Slow recharge, does disorient. I think it can do Lts. No damage to speak of. I dropped this. If I could disorient a boss, then I would keep it, but would need to get off two of these, and that could take some doing.

Psychic Wail.
Wow. Can Disorient and does Slow recharge. Great with Fuclrum Shift (if you have Kinetics) Bad thing is it drains ALL END. Toggles Drop. It is AoE. Okay end power, but I wish it was not all end.

I highly reccomend going perma hasten with Psychic too. It has greatly helped Mystic's build. I can live on 2 or 3 powers in my attack chain now. Usually Solo, it goes Lance-Will Domination-TKBlast. Lance-Will Domination can usually take out a even con minion.

Slotting would be hard for me to comment on. I rely on Siphion Power/ Fulcrum Shift for Damage Enhancement.
