Still around =)

I just wanted to let people know I'm still around. It took over one month for me to get DSL. I went with Yahoo/SBC. It turned out due to a glitch in the wiring they would have to send someone out to fix it and charge 150.00. I was already paying about 22.00 for a telephone I didn’t need just to get DSL. I told them to forget about it and went with COVAD instead. It’s a bit more expensive but I wasn’t able to get Earthlink either so I figured just go with the top end. I’m justifying here. I have to believe it’s worth the extra money. =)

So I’m just catching up on things right now. My partner doesn’t really know how to do things on the internet with my Hawaiian activities business so I’m catching up with that.

I’m the new techie at my daily job so I’m studying a LOT about Access, MySQL and PHP.

I don’t have a car and kind of don’t want one right now. Taking the bus is allowing me to save on a car payment, insurance, gas, the occasional ticket and accidents. However taking the bus brings me home at 6:30 and usually I’m tired. I’m letting my other roommate use my computer so sometimes I feel guilty asking her to log off so I can fight Hellions.

So once I get my other businesses up and running and I get my bike I should have some more free time. I’ll still be around for one hour sessions during the week and on weekends.
