Just so no one is concerned...

On Mon-Wed I was busy preparing for Passover Seder which Dale and I host for our family. Hectic, but done. Yes I make matzah ball soup from scratch.

Then on the first night of Passover my new computer from Dell (through their outlet for a steal of a price), and I've been getting it up to speed for prime time, should be back into game soonish (Dell XPS600, 3GHz P4D, 2GB, Dual 250GB HDs, 2 DVD drives, TV Tuner, WinXP MCE). Sticking with my Toy Story naming scheme, this computer became Zurg.

Dale on the other hand, since Passover, has been playing the new Sims2 patch/mini-expansion.

I tend to agree, upgrades

I tend to agree, upgrades are nice, but after having a machine a few years, all the desired upgrades tend to add up to the cost of a new system anyway.

Really, I was discouraged at Dell's prices as buying brand new from them the machine I got would cost well over $3K. But going through the outlet I found this machine listed as "scratched & dented", but the only mark on it is a bit of missing paint above the power button. And for that I got the machine for about $2K less that it would have otherwise cost. So I highly recommend shopping their resale outlet, and you can add their regular service plans to machines purchased through their outlet.

Mmmmm...matzah ball soup.

Mmmmm...matzah ball soup. Good stuff. Grats on the new system Smiling I've been looking at saving up over the next year or so to try and get a whole new system as well. I'm not sure it makes sense just to upgrade as I'd need a new motherboard, CPU and video card anyway.
