I disable the UI via an option in the game menu before I take a shot. I then use FRAPS (www.fraps.com) to capture the footage.

I then edit and add the effects to the clips in Windows Movie Maker for Windows XP.

The Movie Maker was free from Microsoft, and I paid $30 for the full version of FRAPS

And I absolutely expect the kraziest kitty on Justice to be in this movie!

On the official boards a suggestion was made. Here's the jist of it:

Use the demo command to make your movies. With the demo you can run it and use FRAPS to capture the video. Advantages of using a demo include adjusting the camera angle, character dialoge and LIGHTING levels. (You actually adjust the time of the day). I'm about 90 percent positive about this.

I'm really amazed at the quality of work. It's a very very good job.

NP about RL. Completely understandable. How are the papers coming along speaking of which?

Don't think it was anything wrong with your PC, Hero I had the same concerns about the lighting, but it was a tradeoff that I made!

That's been one of my problems with the footage I've been shooting. I really have to pick and choose carefully what time of day I shoot the outdoor footage. I can only get the really bright shots (on the face) it seems around sunset. That really only gives me about 10 minutes every hour where I can get good outdoor shots

I know that cave shot was dark, but I was mostly wanting to highlight my sniper attack anyway, which I think the shot did well. The only other really dark shot that bothered me was the Funks dancing shot...

I don't really want to up the brightness much because I don't want to wash out the brightness and vividness of the game colors, but I'll probably tweak it some before I start the AOJ video!

Thanks everyone for the compliments! Maq, I'll try and look into your songs and see if any of them have the beat I'm looking for. "Bohemian Rhapsody" really has that feel to it that I'm looking for, so that's why I was leaning in that direction.

Another issue I had with this latest video was finding key points in the music to make a scene switch or emphasize action on the screen, and I don't want to fall into that trap with the next video. Since I'm treating them less as movies and more as music videos, I'm trying to let the music dictate the mood and the action on the screen.

Thanks again for the feedback! I'll try to make the AoJ one the best yet! I still need time to deal with RL stuff (school mostly) and storyboard the movie a bit so I can coordinate with you guys.... Stay tuned!

Absolutely great! The only thing for me was that it seemed....... dark. There were some scenes where it was a bit difficult to see the action, especially the scene in the cave. Of course, I reserve the right to admit that my computer is constantly battling Gremlins!

The video is great. Luv the old school look you give it at the beginning to make it look like an archived film covering her experiment at Portal Corp. Yeah the song is repetitive but hey its catchy.

Didn't have any problems downloading this time. I used Netscape and right clicked the link.

Bohemian Rhapsody sounds real good. Are ya open for suggestions? A couple I have:
-Of Wolf and Man/Metallica: Going after a 5th Base with Wolvies
-Ecstacy of Gold/Metallica S & M album: showing the formation of AoJ but context of song may be too Western

Very good. I was thinking of trying to make one to the tune of "I'm A Cow". The song to a pretty funny flash movie. Keep up the good work.!

What are you trying to open it with when it's broken? I'm able to get it using both IE and Mozilla Firefox.

Someone mentioned on the main boards that it looks like XDrive is installing some basic spyware cookies on user machines when someone requests a download, so if you have some spyware blocker that catches it BEFORE it's installed, you'll get an error.

Since I run Spybot at least once a week, it's not that big of a deal to me, but I can understand how someone more security-minded could have an issue.

I'm having the same issues with downloading the file. It comes up as broken unless I open it with IE and select download with Download Accelerator Plus.
