Something Funny going on

It seems to be on and off to me. I did reboot the server and restart the VPS, but that didn't do it which just means there's either some heavy traffic on some main trunk somewhere OR that since Drupal is database reliant that someone could be slogging the database.

Ya'd think I would be happy now that I finally have a working cable modem, but here I go with my second complaint of the day (aren't I terrible??)

Is it just me or is the website reeeeeeeeeeaaaalllllyy slow today? At work, everything is slow, but at home I get things quickly. Except today. Anything I can do to fix it?

And the garbage man skipped my house and picked up from everyone else on the block today!!

Sigh some of the people who actually code Drupal can be such freakin' jerks. I'm fairly certain there's still a bug in the behavior I found. Anyway... that said...

The two things that I said are "due to bug" are "by design" in the module. I think I have things set correctly so that you being an "admin helper" can still edit/delete nodes (as in you should be able to moderate the forums).

You should be good to go there now Frosty.

I am playing with node level permissions to work out a few things for the future.

Shrike, in order to get node level permissions working right, because of some bugs in the taxonomy access module, and keep the concept secure for us I had to remove some of your privledges -- I don't think this is anything you were using.

To this end I have changed the old "adminstrator" type to be "admin helper" and created a new "admin type". Dale and I are the only "admin"s and you are the only "admin helper".

The only difference between the two is:

the ability to administer nodes (due to bug)
the ability to adminster taxonomy (due to bug)
the ability to administer users (due to security)

You will be able to do anything else you could do before, and I'm pretty sure you never really did much with the above three items anyway.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I am at work and on a mac, but when I try to look at the Hero Bios, I get a message that says I don't have access to this page.

Any thoughts???

I was updating to 4.5.2 (today), and I did a database update, so it might have gotten squashed in the midst of all that. Lets keep an eye out for other weirdness.
