Program: ACMonster Decal Plugin
Latest Version: 2.3.1.0
Date: 2/2/2005
Copyright: (c) 2001-2005 by Todd D. Perlmutter, all rights reserved
2.3.1.0 (2/2/2005)
- Added use of new WCoD values "melee_def" and "missile_def"
2.3.0.0 (10/16/2003)
- Changed to use WCoD Creatures Database XML export.
- Added a HUD (Heads Up Display) for displaying creature weaknesses. Can be set to Protections (for melee/missile characters) or Resistances (for mages). HUD displays the creature name and its weaknesses from weakest defense to strongest. HUD is moved via an alt-leftmousebutton-drag combination.
2.2.0.0 (4/11/2003)
- Ditched use of GetFellowStats() for lookup -- it was kind of range limited anyway.
- Added an option to lookup the monster on selection change ("On Selection Lookup Selected Monster"). This performs a name only lookup of the monster, in the case of multiple levels for a given name it will show the first one.
- Added an option to lookup the monster on a examine message ("On Examine Lookup Selected Monster"). Since examing a monster can produce its level, this can do a slightly more detailed lookup then the above, so that if there are multiple level entries for the same name it can find the best match.
2.1.0.0 (1/15/2003)
- Changed the way selection monitoring works. Now uses GetFellowStats(). This allows it to discern monsters of the same name but of a different level (e.g., a level 43 Mox, vs a level 56 Mox). It will now search by name and then find the best level match that fits that name.
- Changed references to cod.xrgaming.net to ac.warcry.com
- Allow for "Experience" to be overridden by CoD values
- Minor underlying synchronization between plugin and standalone versions (more shared code)
- Download progress updates properly
- Minor bug fixes
- Changed CoD icon (purple one is clearer to read)
- Updated license agreement for more current and up to date information and sync with web version
2.0.1.0 (3/19/2002)
- Made sure the monster data loads properly even if Decal's World Object Filter is disabled.
- When Decal's World Object Filter is disabled, Auto-Lookup feature will be disabled since it relies on World Object Filter. The user will be notified in the Selection sub-tab of the Data tab with the following two messages: "World Object Filter Not Enabled" and "No Auto-Lookup".
2.0.0.0 (3/17/2002)
- Total monster count listed under the "Data" as "Creatures Total".
- All monsters in default dataset (monsters.csv) now listed under the pulldown lists.
- Monsters only in the CoD dataset (fauna.csv) are denoted with [C] after their name.
- Monsters only in the default dataset (monsters.csv) are denoted with a [D] after their name.
- "Experience" now listed on the "Stats" tab. This value comes from AC:DM Strategy Guide.
- "Level", "Experience", "Melee Defense", "Missile Defense", and "Magic Defense" now listed in the main window.
- "Attack Height" moved from the old "Attk" tab to the "Info" tab.
- The old "Attk" tab has been broken into two tabs, "Prot" (protections -- for melee/missle) and "Res" (resistances -- for magic) can be seen. Previously only a single set of values had been shown, but that did not properly represent the fact that what melee, archers, and throwers contend with may not be the same (and in some cases are not the same) as what mages contend with. The decision to do this is based on information provided by Turbine in answer to a Q&A question.
- Developed a ranking system for protections and resistances based on the need to have all the various data elements supplementing each other in a manner that should mean less unknown (???) values overall. For more info see the acmonster web page: http://www.net-marks.com/acmonster
- Fixed problem with moving and reinstalling of ACMonster on a system. ACMonster now checks for its data files in the directory in the registry. If it does not find them in that directory (either they don't exist or the directory does not exist), the ACMonster will reset its data directory to its own directory (the directory where the acmonster.exe file resides).
- In the advent that data files are still not found, ACMonster will now run fine without them (no crashing), and the data files can just be able to be downloaded by the user from their respective sites.
- The "DL" tab has been renamed to "Data", and contains three (3) sub-tabs "CoD Creatures" (for download and maintenance of the CoD creatures dataset), "Default" (for download and maintenance of the default dataset), and "Selection" (see below).
- The "Selection" sub-tab under "Data" shows information pertaining to your current selection in AC. For more information as to how this is used in ACMonster see below.
- Allen Grey, is now mentioned on the "?" (about) tab.
- The "X" tab has been renamed "More" and now has two (2) sub-tabs. "Tell" which has all the features of the old "X" tab. And "Options" which contains two options for the plugin.
- "Save View Location on Exit" (checked by default) can be found on the "Options" sub-tab of the "More" tab. When checked, if the ACMonster Decal window is moved in the GUI, and the user then exits the game and comes back in, its previous location will be saved and restored.
- "Automatically Lookup Selected Monster" (not checked by default) can be found on the "Options" sub-tab of the "More" tab. When checked, any object that is selected in the AC client and is identified as a monster by the Decal WorldFilter will have its name matched against the monster database. If a match is found that monster's info will be automatically looked up for the user.
